Law on Establishment of Water Supply and Distribution Companies and Sewerage Facilities in Cities.

This Law provides for establishment of the regional companies affiliated to the Ministry of Power to be in charge of developing facilities for use of water resources, transfer and distribution of water in the cities. The projects for establishment of the sewerage system in the cities shall be handled through cooperation between municipalities and private sector. The Law provides for source of investment for relevant projects and for valuation of the lands used for manufacturing equipment. The villages that are located between cities, may also be covered by water supply through piping facilities. The Law further provides for depreciation of the equipment. This Law consists of 1 Article and 8 notes.
