Regulation on Measures Regarding a Common National Program to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

The purpose of this National Program is to set provisions regarding the global principle of common but differentiated responsibility. The Regulation obliges the Government to attempt to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 4% till 2030. Market based mechanisms, transfer of the environment-friendly technologies under the legal regime of the Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) as well as transfer of the management experiences shall play a key role in the success and thus reduce emissions in the Islamic Republic of Iran. This Regulation consists of 3 main sections as follows: Introduction (I); Reducing Emission (II); Vulnerability and Adaptation to Climate Change Impacts (III).
