Regulation on Tourist Guides.

The present Regulation, which consists of 8 articles, aims to regulate provisions regarding tour guides activities in Iran. The Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization is the responsible entity to determine the eligibility of tour guides. All tour guides are obliged to work only for authorized internal travel agencies. In case of any violation of the provisions of this Act, for the first time the tour guide would be suspended from relevant activities for period of three months and in the case of repetition, the tour guide’s work permit would be revoked.
