Regulations on River Bed, Riparian Zones, Watercourse, Marshland, Natural Ponds and Water Supply Networks, Irrigation and Drainage.

The purpose of this Regulation, which consists of 15 articles, is to codify provisions regarding maintenance and rehabilitation of river beds, riparian zones, watercourses, marshland, natural ponds and water supply networks. The Domestic Water Agencies are responsible to determine the limits of the river bed and natural watercourse. Any construction and agricultural activities in the limits of rivers and watercourses is prohibited. Transmission of the oil and gas pipelines in the limits of the rivers and other watercourses is permitted. Establishment of public facilities in these areas is only possible with an official permit of the Ministry of Energy.
