Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministries amending the list of public pests and diseases and general quarantine measures in 1996.

This Resolution prescribes that Karnal bunt disease should be added to the list of public pests. The Ministry of Agriculture has the mandate to apply the following quarantine measures: (a) Purchase and destruction of infected wheat; (b) Replacement of wheat cultivated in infected areas; (c) Free delivery of required pesticide to farmers for chemical application in infected areas; and (d) Application of the quarantine regulations.
