Abstract
These Regulations, which are divided into 13 Chapters, deal with many aspects of marine fisheries: Limitation to Persian Gulf and Oman Sea and connected rivers (Chap. 1); Classification of fishermen (2); Registration of vessels (3); Transactions with fish, fish health and hygiene (4); Fishing by foreigners (5); Regulation of fishing grounds (6); Fishing gears (7); Authorized size of fish (8); Prohibited areas (9); Prohibited season (10); Prohibited use of materials, waste disposal and pollution of water (11); Fishing in rivers (12); Violations (13).
For purposes of this Regulation article 2 divides fishermen in categories: Free fishermen; fishermen working with own boats for other; fishermen of the fishing cooperatives; tenant fishermen; special fishermen of Shilat Jonoub Iran; natural or legal Iranian or foreign persons who obtain a permission from Shilat Jonoub Iran or have a contract with this company.
