Abstract
The objective of the present Act is to protect the environment and people's health by preventing pollution from prescribed burning, other wildfires, and widespread fire management. Additionally, it is also the goal of the Act to ensure safety and protection of life and property. Prescribed burning is prohibited, but residents or landowners in legally designated areas where agriculture is practiced are permitted to burn their land according to a written permit from the district commissioner, provided that the purpose is justified and clear benefits for agriculture or animal husbandry are evident.
