Act No. 53 on support for municipal projects in sewerage matters.

The purpose of this Act is to promote the construction of municipal sewers using grants. The initiative for making plans for sewers and sewerage projects is in the hands of local authorities and is their responsibility. Article 3 describes the structures that might be subsidised by the State. A sewerage committee shall be established, which shall discuss grant applications and the implementation and cost plans of municipalities for sewerage projects in the current year and estimates the eligibility of each planned project and make a proposal to the Executive on the contribution to municipal sewerage in next year's budget.
