Act No. 88 on imports.

This Act lays establishes as a general rule that the import of goods and services into the country shall be unrestricted unless otherwise specifically stated in other laws or intergovernmental agreements to which Iceland is a party. It is not permitted to clear goods through customs that are subject to import restrictions unless an exemption has been obtained for the import.
