Abstract
This regulation authorizes Icelandic food control authorities to publicly publish the results of inspections concerning the production and distribution of food, with the aim of increasing transparency, protecting consumer interests, and enabling informed consumer choice. Inspection results may be published in reports or on the relevant authority’s website, including by company, product, or product category, especially where non-compliance, unsafe chemical or microbiological results, warnings, suspensions, recalls, seizures, disposal orders, or other enforcement measures are involved. An administrative appeal does not suspend publication.
