Regulation No. 462/2017 on fishing for golden redfish.

This regulation governs the fishing of golden redfish (gulllax) by Icelandic vessels within Iceland's fishing zone. Fishing is only permitted for vessels holding a quota, and only in designated areas off the west and south coasts, subject to depth and coordinate restrictions. Catch samples of 100–200 fish must be collected on each trip and sent to the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute in Reykjavík. The minimum mesh size for nets is 80mm (full mesh) with 40mm in the cod-end. Violations are prosecuted under Law No. 79/1997.
