Abstract
This regulation governs the weighing and registration of all marine catch landed in Iceland, regardless of where it was caught. It sets rules on responsibility for weighing, separation of catch by species, harbour weighing, re-weighing, home weighing, weighing after gutting on land, fish-market weighing, weighing by independent operators, and special weighing rules for species such as lumpfish, lobster, scallops, shrimp, pelagic fish, seaweed and farmed fish. It also establishes reporting duties, weighing-note requirements, supervision by harbour authorities and the Directorate of Fisheries, access for inspectors, and penalties or licence revocation for breaches.
