This regulation regulation additional salmonella guarantees for consignments of chicken meat, hen eggs, and turkey meat sent to Iceland. It requires sampling, microbiological testing, and accompanying commercial documents or certificates in accordance with relevant EU rules, assigns enforcement to the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority and local health committees, and sets penalties under Icelandic food law.
