Abstract
This regulation establishes spatial and seasonal restrictions on fishing with bottom trawls within Iceland’s fisheries jurisdiction. It lists numerous closed or partly closed areas around Iceland, defined by coordinates, where bottom-trawl fishing is prohibited either year-round or during specified periods, with some limited exceptions for certain seasons, times of day, or gear types. It also sets penalties for violations and repeals several earlier regulations on bottom-trawl fishing bans in specific areas.
