Abstract
This Regulation sets reporting requirements for persons trading in marine catches and for operators of processing vessels. It requires catch buyers, fish markets, processing vessels and exporters of unprocessed catch to submit regular reports to the Directorate of Fisheries, including weighing reports, disposal reports, auction-sale reports, processing-vessel reports, and export sales reports. These reports must include details such as seller and buyer identity, vessel information, landing port and date, species, quantity, condition, price, fishing gear and fishing area. It also regulates catch certificates confirming the legal origin of catches or products exported to the EU market, and allows sanctions, including suspension of certificate issuance, where reporting duties are neglected.
