Abstract
This Update of the Nationally Determined Contribution of Iceland is a cross-sectoral policy document covering the period from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2030. Iceland is committed to a target of 55 per cent net reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 1990, acting jointly with the European Union and its Member States and Norway to achieve this target, within the framework of their climate cooperation agreement.

Sectors covered include: Energy, Industrial processes and product use, Agriculture, Waste, Land-use, land-use change and forestry. Gases covered are: Carbon dioxide (CO2) Methane (CH4) Nitrous oxide (N2O) Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6).
