Decree 2 September 2021. Experimental program «Mangiaplastica».

This Decree defines the criteria, conditions and methods for the granting and payment of the contribution, from the fund experimental program "Mangiaplastica", in favor of the Municipalities, for the purchase and installation of eco-compactors.
The objective of such incentive is to contain the production of plastic waste through the use of eco-compactors, improve its selective collection and improve its recycling with a view to favor a circular economy perspective.
In order to detect the efficiency, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the differentiated collection system through the use of eco-compactors, the Decree requires that the beneficiaries of the incentive maintain the possession of the ecompactors for at least three years from the time of activation; they are also required to provide the Ministry of Ecological Transition, useful information for at least three years in order to verify the effectiveness and sustainability of the experimental program.
The Decree sets provisions concerning the available resources, the beneficiary subjects, the submission and admission of applications, the evaluation criteria, the payment of the contribution as well as the causes for revocation of the economic contribution.
