Decree of 28 July 1994 defining the powers and functioning of the Central Institute for the Technological and Scientific Research of the Sea (ICRAM).

The Institute is engaged in the scientific and technological research and provides technical assistance in matters pertaining to the following: (a) evaluation of the productivity of the biological resources of the sea; (b) protection, development and improvement of the fisheries resources; (c) marine pollution; (d) dissemination of information; (e) professional training. The Decree establishes also the functions of the different organs of the Institute.
