Decree Law No. 83 of 2012 concerning urgent measures for the Nation growth.

In the contest of many mechanisms and initiatives to promote state growth, the DL 83/2012 as modified and converted by Law 134/2012, under Section II, Heading IV (Artt. 34-40) lays down measures for the development and strengthening of the energy sector. These include provisions on bio-fuel management, research and extraction of hydrocarbons, simplification of oil sector compliance procedures, natural gas market tenders and market prices, inclusion of geothermal energy among strategic sources of energies
Section II, Heading VIII (Artt. 57-59-quarter) lays down specific initiatives to promote youth employment in the green economy and growth in the agricultural businesses sector. These include: subsidised financing for specific sectors (e.g. enterprises that operate in land protection and hydrogeological and seismic risk prevention, photovoltaic research and development, among others); special fund for financing food distribution national programs in support of the most vulnerable (under Art. 58, each year, by the 30 of June, by Decree of the Minister of Agricultural Food Policies and Forestry, the annual distribution program identifies product types, beneficiary charitable organisations, implementation methods, and the discipline regarding donations); amendments to the discipline regarding the monitoring system for the protection of designations of origin and geographical indications of wines (D. Lgs. 61/2010); simplification of the discipline regarding permits for marine aquaculture and facilitation for the fish product designation of origin labelling; provisions regarding the security systems against counterfeiting of agricultural products and food; provisions to set an electronic recording and reporting system for fishery and amendments to the D. Lgs. 4/2014 regarding measures for the reorganisation of fisheries legislation and aquaculture
