Abstract
This Decree here approves the unique set of regulations, approved by the Minister for public works, necessary for the compilation of projects, construction and exercise of retention dams.
General rules and indications for design, for construction, maintenance and operation, including technical issues for all dam-waterworks are all laid down in this publication (see pages 2-21).
This Decree applies to all water barriers (dams) whose height exceed 10 meters and to those of lower height with a capacity over 100,000 m. For waterworks-dams not subject to this text, the competent civil engineering office will decide on a case by case basis, and in relation to the characteristics of the barrier.
