Abstract
This Directive sets out the official operational guidelines for the organizational and functional management of the national and regional alert system and for the planning of territorial civil protection in the area of avalanche risk.
The management of the national alert system is ensured by the Italian Civil Protection Department and Regions (local government) through the network of functional centers, as well as through regional structures and other competence centers called to compete functionally and operationally to this alert network.
The Annex is also part of this publication (containing operating procedures of the national and regional alert system for avalanche risk; and list of operational procedures for the preparation of regional guidelines aimed at local civil protection and its planning in the area of avalanche risk).
