Abstract
This Directive of the President of the Council of Ministers contains operational guidelines relating to the Civil Protection activity in the area of basins in which there are major dams.
This text here establishes the necessary conditions for activating the alert phases for the safety purposes as regards the necessary management and maintenance, among several other issues all related to Italian water basins where large or major dams are present. Principal aims of this text are also to define the actions following the activation of aforementioned alert phases in the event of potential risk or emergency scenarios, which are relevant for the alert and activation of the overall civil protection system.
