Abstract
This text here converts into Law the terms and provisions originally prescribed by the Italian Decree-Law 4 December 1993, n. 496, containing urgent provisions on the reorganization of environmental controls and establishment of the National Environmental Protection Agency. This Law establishes and regulates several issues as regards the National Environmental Protection Agency, Regional and Provincial Environmental Agencies. These shall be established by the Regions, as local Agencies with technical and scientific competencies, within their geographical areas, in environmental conservation matters, with obligation of general national coordination and cooperation and data exchange.
The original text is amended and its modifications are integrated into this new version (Law 21 January 1994, n. 61). See Annex of this publication for the complete text.
