Abstract
This Law determines the necessary rules for the effective support and promotion as regards the cultivation of hemp (Cannabis sativa L.), a plant variety here defined as crop that can contribute to reduce the environmental impact in agriculture (also soil consumption, desertification and loss of biodiversity).
This Law shall apply to all accepted varieties as listed in the common catalog of varieties of species of agricultural plants, in accordance with the provisions of the article 17 of the Council Directive 2002/53/EC of 13 June 2002.
This Law also sets issues related to the cultivation and processing; incentives; development of integrated territorial cultivation chains; production of food, cosmetics, raw materials, biodegradable and semi-finished products for different industrial sectors; and other.
