Legislative Decree February 2, 2021, n. 32. Provisions for the adaptation of national legislation to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 pursuant to of article 12, paragraph 3, letter g) of the law of 4 October 2019, n. 117.

This decree determines the methods of financing official controls and other official activities carried out to ensure the application of the legislation concerning food and food safety, materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, feed, animal health, animal by-products and derived products, animal welfare, release in trade and use of phytosanitary products, in implementation of regulation (EU) 2017/625.
Special rates are established for the official controls and other official activities under the responsibility of the Ministry of Health carried out by border control posts, on fishing vessels, on official export activities, on other official activities of the local health authority, on inspections carried out by the local health authority veterinarian in case of slaughtering of animals outside the slaughterhouse for self-consumption and in case of wild animals hunted for self-consumption or for direct selling.
The Decree further regulates supplemental rates for example for official controls not originally scheduled or made on demand etc., the applicable rates in case of disputes, the method of collection, the breakdown of collected fees.
