Legislative Decree No. 105 implementing Directive 80/777/EEC on the exploitation and marketing of natural mineral waters.

This Decree sets out the criteria for the individuation of natural mineral waters and the requirements to be fulfilled in order to obtain the recognition of mineral water. A water spring may be exploited only upon authorization of the responsible authority and environmental quality standards shall be satisfied. Article 11 establishes the information to be report on the label and further are indicated all the possible uses for mineral waters. In terms of article 14 the responsible authority will also perform periodical checks on the water quality and its marketing. (21 articles)
