Abstract
In accordance with the principles and rules laid down under Directive 2009/158/EC, this Legislative Decree establishes sanitary provisions governing the trade with other EU Member States as well the importation from third countries of poultry and hatching eggs. Only products from recognized establishments may be admitted. The Legislative Decree lays down detailed rules on health conditions to be complied with. This includes vaccination of animals, inspection to ensure the absence of diseases, slaughtering, transport conditions and documentation required (health certification). Specific provisions concern conditions for game. In case of infringements, the penalties specified in article 26 shall apply.
