Abstract
This Law prescribes the provisions for the effective implementation of the rules stipulated by the European Parliament and Council Directive of 20 November 2013, 2013/54/EU on certain responsibilities of the flag State for compliance with the 2006 Maritime Labor Convention and its application; by setting a suitable and effective system of control, including inspections, for the purpose of ensuring of the living and working conditions for workers seafarers on board of merchant ships (also in accordance with many other international Conventions and documents as listed in the text).
