Abstract
The Decree under Art. 1 approves the Strategic Plan for anti-SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 vaccination. Under Art. 2 is available a vaccines amount estimation table by brand on the base of preliminary agreements signed by the Italian government.
The Plan is organised in eight paragraphs; 1) introduction; 2) values, principles and priority groups; 3) logistics, procurement, storage and transport; 4) vaccination centres, organisation and governance; 5) Information sharing; 6) program monitoring; 7) communication; 8) epidemiologic impact and economic evaluation models.
Plan’s guiding principles are equity, reciprocity, legitimacy, protection and promotion of health and wellbeing. Priority groups are health workers, social workers, nursing homes’ staff and residents, and elderly people. The governance of the Plan relies on a collaboration among the Health Minister, the Emergency Commissioner for COVID-19, Regions and Autonomous Provinces. Furthermore the Plan requires hey cost-benefit analysis.
