Ministerial Decree of 5 September 2023 concerning interventions for the agri-food chain.

The Decree defines terms and sets out provisions related to the protection of agricultural products with DOP and IGP designations. In particular it defines eligibility criteria to access the «Fund» (Fund for the development and support of supply chains agricultural, fishing and aquaculture, established by art. 1, paragraph 128, of Law No. 178/2020). Beneficiaries eligible for contributions include consortia for protection and temporary associations among them. The activities and eligible expenses include information campaigns, public relations, participation in fairs, and development costs to improve product sustainability. The decree specifies contribution types, amounts, the possibility of advance payments, and compliance with state aid regulations. Detailed requirements for beneficiaries and implementation details are delegated to a subsequent ministerial provision.
