Ministerial Decree 8 June 2020 on temporary modification to the decree of 14 October 2013, containing national provisions for the implementation of EU regulation no. 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 November 2012 on quality regimes for agricultural and food products in the field of PDO, PGI and TSG.

Abstract
The Ministerial Decree, due to the COVID-19 impact and measures to contain the emergency, lays down temporary modifications to the national discipline on PDO, PGI and TSG regulated by Ministerial Decree 14 October 2013 implementing Regulation (EU) No. 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on quality schemes for agricultural products and foodstuffs as regards Protected Designations of Origin, Protected Geographical Indications and Guaranteed Traditional Specialities. The Decree 8 June 2020 establishes that are not currently in force the provisions that regulate public meeting, timeframe to oppose and request of modification (Art. 8, 9 paragraph 1, 13, paragraph 3, 23, 24, paragraph 1 e 27, paragraph 2 Ministerial Decree 14 October 2013). Art 7 paragraph 8 (evaluation of requests) is re-worded adding the requirement of publication of the request on Gazette Ufficiale. The terms for opposing the request are extended to 60 days.
