Abstract
The Ministerial Decree regulates at the national level the compulsory fight against citrus "Phoma tracheiphila". The regional phytosanitary services shall carry out periodically and regularly inspections throughout their respective territories of competence in order to prevent the infection of citrus trees and the spread of the pest (art. 2). Holders of lands where infected citrus trees exist must cut the infected parts and destroy them by using fire. They must destroy the whole plants, if necessary, in compliance with the rules laid down by the competent regional phytosanitary services (art. 3). The Regions shall set out administrative sanctions to apply in case of violation of the provisions hereby established.
