Abstract
The amendments to Ministerial Decree No. 209 of 1996 laid down in this Decree mainly concern: (a) the list of those substances to which the provisions contained in Ministerial Decree No. 209 shall not apply; (b) the list of additives that may be used in foodstuffs. The marketing of foodstuffs that do not comply with the provisions laid down by this Decree is forbidden from 4 November 2000. Products that do not fullfill such conditions and have been labelled or placed on the market before 4 November 2000 may be nonetheless marketed until selling out.
