Ministerial Decree No. 379 regulating the functioning of the Service for the excavation of national sea ports.

The management of the Service for the excavation of national sea ports is entrusted to the Technical Inspectorate of the Ministry of Transports and Navigation. The Inspectorate shall exercise powers pertaining to the following: (a) implementation of the annual programme on the utilization of equipment and on the excavation of sea beds; (b) coordination of the activities of the yards; (c) determination of technical and operational standards; (d) approval of excavation projects, etc.
