Abstract
This Ordinance governs the extraordinary measures for the fight and eradication and control of bovine tubercolosis, bovine and buffalo brucellosis, ovine-caprine brucellosis, as well as bovine enzootic leukosis.
The above objective is achieved through the execution of 100% of the scheduled checks on companies and on animals in accordance with the legislation in force and through a planned reduction, on regional basis, of at least 10% per annum of the prevalence of each disease.
The Ordinance sets provisions regarding the animal identification and the recording of activities and rules concerning the issue of health qualifications and the relevant controls.
The Ordinance further provides for the Measures to be applied in infected farms, for the stalls present on the national territory, for the fattening animals throughout the national territory. It also regulated the concession of indemnities.
