Presidential Decree of March 13, 1976, n. 448 Implementation of the convention on wetlands of international importance, especially as a habitat for aquatic birds, signed in Ramsar.

This Presidential Decree here announces and grants a full and entire execution to the convention relating to wetlands of international importance (habitat of the waterfowl, signed in Ramsar, Islamic Republic of Iran, on 2 February 1971).
The Italian government and related state authorities will designate a suitable map of all national wetlands, that shall be included in the List of wetlands of international importance, as granted by the above mentioned Convention. The actual choice of such wetlands to be included in the List should be carried out on the basis of their international importance, form the point of view of ecology, botany, zoology, limnology or hydrology.
