Presidential Decree No. 361 regulating the implementation of Directive No. 92/35/EEC concerning measures to control and combat the equine pest.

The Decree establishes different measures depending on whether the outbreak of equine pest is suspected or officially notified by the veterinarian. In the former case the Decree provides for the surveillance of the farm, including, inter alia, the official census and the epidemiological survey. In the latter case the Decree establishes the slaughtering of the infected animals, the compulsory vaccination of the remaining animals, the epidemiological survey and other quarantine measures.
