Abstract
This Regional Act amends various provisions of Regional Act 20/2016 No. 20 to protect waters against pollution in order to carry into effect Regional Act 22/2015 wherein the mandate to protect waters from pollution and act as the competent authority regarding environmental authorizations have been devolved from the municipal and provincial level to the regional level.
Major changes made to the Regional Act 20/2016 (No. 20 to protect waters against pollution) are related to general definitions and headings of several articles; administrative issues determining the competent local bodies, their rule and requirements for obtaining the necessary authorization waste water discharge in both private and public discharge; and some offences and penalties (article 22).
