Regional Act No. 13 on the gathering, cultivation and marketing of fresh and preserved truffles intended for consumption.

Pursuant to the general rules laid down in Act No. 752 of 1985, this Regional Act makes provision on the gathering, cultivation and marketing of truffles, both fresh and preserved, intended for human consumption. Furthermore, it aims at the protection of natural areas where truffles grow. An authorization issued by the competent Province shall be required to collect truffles (art. 9). Article 14 lays down several prohibitions concerning the gathering of certain species of truffles, gathering methods, hours and periods during which gathering shall not be allowed. Article 16 sets out penalties.
