Abstract
The Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region promotes the development of apiculture, contributes to the protection of the natural environment and makes provision for the protection of pollination insecs. The Act is divided into seven Parts. Part I lays down general provisions. In particular, article 2 contains the definition of bee keeper, bee hive, apiary and minor products. Part II deals with interventions for the development of apiculture, including subsidies destined to pollination services. Part III refers to activities carried out by the Provincial Consortia of Apiculture and the Regional Centre of Agrarian Experimentation. Part IV fixes minimum distances among apiaries and bee hives. Part V concerns hygienic and sanitary measures to be undertaken in order to guarantee the wholesomeness and health of bees. Part VI regulates nomadism..
