Regional Act No. 6 on authorization to domestic water discharges and laying down amendments to Regional Act No. 22 of 30 April 1996 (Exploration, use and protection of groundwater).

Pursuant to the objectives and general principles laid down at national level by Legislative Decree No. 152 of 1999, this Regional Act aims at: (a) making rules in matter of domestic water discharge authorization; (b) implementing article 45, paragraph 7 of Legislative Decree No. 152 of 1999 as regards the tacit renewal of domestic water discharge authorization; and (c) updating the provisions contained in Regional Act No. 22 of 1996 in matter of exploration, use and protection of groundwaters.
Chapter II of the Act is devoted to domestic water discharges. Articles 3 and 4 concern the application for the authorization and the tacit renewal of the authorization respectively. Chapter III lays down particular amendments to Regional Act No. 22 of 1996. In particular, article 2 of that Regional Act is replaced by the text laid down in article 5 hereto, which provides for the classification of groundwaters. Article 13, laying down penalties, is replaced by the text contained in article 9 hereto.
