Abstract
This Regional Act regulates the procedure for authorizing the installation and functioning of energy production plants. Moreover, it specifies the content and objectives of the regional plan defining an environmental approach for energy production, which is to be adopted by the Regional Council. The promotion of renewable resources and energy saving are among the aims pursued by the plan. Regional Act No. 47 of 1998 on environmental impact assessment is amended as regards the installation of energy production plants.
