Abstract
This Regional Regulation makes provision on fishing in the Venetian shores of the Lake Garda and in the river Mincio. It regulates professional fishing as well as sport fishing. Articles 3-10 concern sport fishing, which is allowed from one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset. Article 4 specifies those periods when fishing is not permitted as well as the minimum lenght under which certain fish species may not be harvested. Fish species other than those specified by article 4 may not be caught unless they reach at least 5 cm in lenght. The provincial authority, nonetheless, may authorize to fish the above-mentioned species for scientific, artificial reproduction and repopulation purposes. Article 5 fixes the maximum amount of certain fish species that may be harvested. Article 6 defines the zones where fishing is absolutely forbidden. Article 8 concerns sport fishing gear and fishing methods allowed. Further provisions regard professional fishing. Article 11 concerns in particular fishing gear as well as fishing methods. To perform sport competitions in the Garda Lake, sport associations must be granted a special authorization by the competent Province (art. 14).
