Abstract
The Regional Regulation lays down the modalities for the establishment and management of private centres intended for wild fauna reproduction (pheasants, partridges, hares, deers, roe deers, follow deers, mouflons, wild boars). A concession issued by the regional authority is compulsory for the settlement of such private centres. Hunting is absolutely prohibited in private wild fauna reproduction centres. Marketing of wild fauna species is allowed only for repopulation purposes (art. 1, par. 3). The Region shall grant the concession only when centres are placed on territories meeting the requirements set out by article 2, which takes into particular account environmental conditions compatible with the animal species concerned and specifies the minimum sizes of the centres, according to the different wild fauna species kept. Article 4 deals with the management of wild fauna reproduction centres. The holder of the concession shall be responsible for any damage caused on the surrounding agricultural lands by his own animals. The competent provincial administration is in charge of the monitoring system. Every year the holder of the concession must submit to the competent Province a technical report concerning the introduction of animals for reproduction purposes as well as animal species that have been captured and placed on the market. Article 5 deals with the renewal, the withdrawal and the expiry of the concession.
