Royal Decree of 25 July 1904, no. 523 Consolidated text of legal provisions concerning various categories of hydraulic works.

This text contains the consolidated and unified text of all general water related rules and water infrastructure related works, here aimed for each category and type. Rules of this text are related to all types of water structures and water areas including rivers, lakes, streams and natural flows. Also a full classification of works around public waters and the list of hydraulic or waterworks of first, second, third, fourth and fifth category.
This Decree declares that the Italian Government is entrusted with the supreme protection of public waters and inspection on related waterworks.
