Abstract
These Regulations introduce measures to control the spreading of Bovine Brucellosis in Jamaica.
The Regulations require every person having in his or her possession a herd to test animals in the herd periodically and they prescribe conditions regarding the testing and the handling of test results. Persons in charge of animals affected by the disease shall report to authorities and the owner of a herd of pigs, cattle or goats shall keep records on number of animals, marking, birth in the herd and movement of animals. The Regulations also provide for vaccination of animals and the eradication of the disease in an affected area.
