Abstract
This Act sets out rules relative to conveyancing of title in property, including land, and related matters such as rights related to leases and mortgages.
The rules concern, among other things, contracts of sale, procedures for transactions, the role of court in case of encumbrances or other legal complications, conveyance of easements and other land-related rights, conveyance in case of statutory mortgage, rights of mortgagees in relation to timber on mortgaged property, covenants as to lease and mortgage and construction and effects of deeds and other instruments.
