Abstract
This Act prohibits the carrying out of cruel acts on any kind of animal and provides for the destruction of injured animals and the slaughtering of animals by order of court.
The Act prescribes various offences with respect to the treatment of animals and prohibits the use of young animals for work purposes. The Act also concerns measures of enforcement and makes provision with respect to the taking care of maltreated animals.
