Abstract
These Regulations, made under section 37 of the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority Act, concern: import and export of agricultural commodities; issuance of licenses and permits; registration of business. The Regulations cover the following agricultural commodities: variety of coffee from Blue Mountain area; pimento; spices, including: ginger, nutmeg, turmeric and their products. Matters covered by the Regulations include: issuance of licences and payment of related fees; inspection activity; registration of property and related certification; keeping records and registers of licensed regulated agricultural commodities; sale or relocation of regulated agricultural commodity business; coffee berries and beans marketing restrictions; restrictions on the local sale and export of roasted coffee; offences in case of misconduct; conditions for coffee dealer licence; export of coffee and coffee products; restriction on sale of cocoa and conditions for issuing a cocoa dealer licence; restriction on sale of regulated agricultural commodities; processing and storage of regulated agricultural commodities; inspection of premises used for the storage and processing of agricultural commodities.
