Abstract
This Act concerns the seizure and impounding of stray animals, their sale or disposal and the establishment, maintenance and management of public pounds.
Pounds shall be managed by the Parish Council of the Parish in which the pound is situated. For each pound, a pound keeper shall be appointed. An owner of land may seize any animal trespassing on the land and bring it to the nearest pound. The Act lays down rules relative to duties of a pound keeper and how animals shall be kept in a pound. The Act also concerns the handling of diseased animals and the sale or disposal of impounded animals.
